Welcome to Bakrie University
Inspired by the vision of Mr. H. Achmad Bakrie, that is to say: “..to be autonomous, one must have determination and great conception” and based on noble intentions from founders of Bakrie Education Foundation – Yayasan Pendidikan Bakrie (YPB) to actively take part in building the capacity of the nation and improving the welfare of Indonesian people, in July 2009 the status of Bakrie School of Management (BSM) changed into Bakrie University based on the Decree of the Minister of National Education, Republic of Indonesia, No 102/D/0/2009.
In the era of global competition which is very intense, business innovation should be accompanied with a variety of engineering technology in a bid to double the business performance. Proper utilization of the latest technology in business development that is driven by an established entrepreneurial spirit is the duty and responsibility of Bakrie University.
Bakrie University brings the mission to position itself as “Technopreneur University” which is collaboration between the application of technology as an instrument and the spirit of autonomous business as a necessity. So can establish a technology business, specifically business that utilizes applicable technology in the innovation process from the production phase to consumption, which in turn is able to contribute to build the nation.
Since its founding in 2006, Bakrie University has distributed scholarships to more than 600 selected students through a sieve test student in 33 provinces in Indonesia. This Scholarship Program is a leading Program with the support of Bakrie Group as well as other donation Programs. This scholarship Program is aligned with the objective of Bakrie University to make Bakrie University as the utmost community where most of the students who follow the lecturing activities are scholarship awardees, therefore a healthy learning environment and competition is created. These outstanding students are also expected to bring positive influence on the student’s learning atmosphere as a whole.
